Star’s POV

It felt like something hot was being poured into my body. My entire body felt light. It was different from how I’ve always felt. I tried to raise my hand, but it felt as heavy as a horse.

A peal of laughter rang in my ears and I identified it as that of Rod. The sound was irritating to the ears, making it seem as if something was crawling on them.

I tried to open my eyes, but it was difficult for me to do so. My mouth tasted funny. It was as if something died on it for days.
