Star’s POV

“What happened to me?”

“You saved us.” My master kissed my fingers, “you saved your baby and me.”

“How? What did I do?”

My memory of what occurred was fuzzy. The more I tried to recollect what happened, the more I hit a wall.

My master rose from the bed and walked towards my dressing table. He got the small mirror I have there and brought it to where I was.

“Brace yourself for what you are about to see,” my master slowly raised the mirror.

The words froze in my throat when I saw the image in the mirror.

“No, that’s not me! I’m not the one!” I tried to shy from the image in the mirror.
