The roar wasn’t just any sound—it was vibration, force, a living thing that clawed through the air and rippled through my bones. It was deeper than thunder, sharper than a lion’s snarl, and yet it carried something human in its torment.
The walls trembled, dust falling from the ceiling, and my bones shook, my heart clenching like my heart was trying to escape.
The steel doors groaned as they finished pulling apart, and what I saw on the other side made my blood run cold. It paralyzed me.
The space was stretched wide, cavernous, lit by sterile white lights that seemed like they were barely holding on to the force that was inside.
Chains as thick as my whole body snaked across the floor, walls, and ceiling, ridiculously thick and long. And bound in the center, thrashing against its restraint, was an animal unlike any I’ve ever seen.
Its body was massive—so huge, it swallowed half of this cave-like basement—shoulders so broad, and claws curve
