Chapter 73. She Has Our Kids

The news of Ellie’s disappearance was another blow to us.

“I have to go find her; you go and look for Oliver,” I dejectedly told Asher, and he agreed.

I mind-linked with Edward and asked him to bring two of the finest warriors of the pack who were good at tracking. He arrived soon and we set out to look for any clues.

I decided to start from the pack house. Ellie seemed like a smart girl, and I hoped she had dropped some clue as to where she was going or if she was taken by Ruby.

Leading away from the pack house, we found some footprints of a child, which seemed to have been deliberately made as they were embedded deep into the place which had damp soil.

I knew in my guts that these had been placed by Ellie. I tried to mind link with Ellie but found resistance. The connection was disturbed and I couldn’t reach out to her. Seemed like she was being kept somewhere underground or in the same place where Oliver was.
