I nodded my head before checking Matias had everything he needed. One of my most trusted helpers was looking after Jack for a bit while we attended the memorial. I checked he had everything and I left Mitch with Jack as well just to put my motherly nerves at bay. He was happy to do so.

Once they were both in the living room and Jack was asleep in the rocking cot down stairs. I left him in their trusting hands. Matias wrapped his arm around my waist as we walked outside and followed everyone as they walked towards the clearing we had put in place. Matias and I were quiet as we walked through the forest.
