Chapter 14. Send Her to the Colonies

Lotus’s POV

I am not sure how long I was sleeping. I would wake for a few moments at a time, and Levi was always by my side. Sometimes he was sleeping, and I would take the quiet moment to look over his beautiful features before drifting back off to sleep. Other times, he was awake with his eyebrows furrowed in concern. He would brush his fingers along my cheek and tell me to go back to sleep. I didn’t understand what caused the change in him, but I am too exhausted to question it.

“You have been in here for three days,” Louis grumbles. “We can watch over her, too.”

“No,” Levi snarls. “This was my mistake. I will stay with her until she wakes.”

My eyes flutter open, and my vision is blurry. I blink the sleep from my eyes and try to roll over onto my back. Before I can get settled, three identical faces are staring down at me. I pull the blankets up around my neck, acutely aware that I have been mostly naked all of this time.
