Chapter 37. Frozen Raid

Lennox’s POV

Snow swirls across the ridge, like ash rising into the air. I can taste their scent in the air long before I see the rogues. Roman waits below, his eyes focused upward, while his men spread like shadows behind him.

“I don’t trust that bastard,” Louis mutters at my side.

Levi’s jaw flexes in agreement. “We don’t have to trust him. We just have to use him.”

I am the first to drop from the ridge, my boots crunching in the snow. My lycan is restless at the scent of the rogues, straining under my skin. I don’t trust them either, but I am not foolish enough to speak on it like my brothers.

Roman inclines his head as I approach. “Winter Alpha.” His voice is mocking, and his eyes are sharp. “The convoy leaves the Summer territory at dawn. We intercept before the stronghold, here.” He flicks a knife toward the map, sprawled across the frozen ground.
