Chapter 40. Jealousy

Lotus’s POV

I wake up to the sound of breathing that isn’t mine, and an almost unbearable heat.

Louis’s arm is heavy across my waist, his face tucked into the crook of my neck. The mark under his face pulses faintly, reminding me that we are bound together. His scent is all over me now, mingling with mine, changing.

The world outside doesn’t exist, but I can sense the others. Lennox and Levi are coming this way. I can feel anger pulsing around them; I don’t have to guess who it belongs to. Levi has already made it clear that he didn’t want to share me. I doubt he is pleased that his brother claimed me first.

Louis stirs beside me, his hand tightening at my hip. “Still with me?”
