“YOU WERE JUST A THORN IN MY SIDE!” She yelled with hatred. “BECAUSE OF YOU, HE LOVED HER MORE… BECAUSE OF YOU, YOUR FATHER LEFT US!”

“No, that's not true.” I cried.

“I killed Agatha; I killed your beloved Alpha; and soon, I'll kill your protected pup and drain him!” Laughing, she rose toward me, grabbing my neck with force, her huge claws tearing my skin and making blood flow.

I stared, succumbing to her strength and watching her black eyes.

“No, I won't allow it.” I raised my hands, touching her forehead and filling it with light magic.

She took a few steps back, falling to her knees. The darkness seemed to leave her, bringing my mother back to her normal state, the one I knew when I was a child. Phillipa lifted her head towards me, looking at me.

“Why didn't you kill me?” She was surprised. “Why didn't you hate me?”

“You were so lost and suffering…” I whispered sadly. “I never wanted to lose you!”
