Chapter 64. A Warning
“Likely, I'll go with a threat and a proposal,” he lazily responded, stroking my hair.
“Is it really necessary to threaten right from the start? Why not propose something first?” I murmured softly as sleep began to envelop me.
“Just going there without killing anyone is already a proposal,” he said, bidding me goodnight brusquely. “Goodnight, human.”
“Goodnight, Mr. Arrogant!”
I withdrew into his warm embrace, feeling safe. However, restlessness accompanied me throughout the night, like a cold draft. I opened my eyes and saw a figure on the balcony of the room. Silently, I got up, and as I approached, I realized that Alpha was asleep. I sniffed the air but detected no scent of danger.
I decided to head towards the balcony, but I stopped abruptly when I recognized the figure.
