I stood there, my heart pounding as I glared at the remnants of shimmering light fading around me. My hands trembled slightly as I rested them on my swollen belly, feeling the gentle movements of the lives growing inside me. The air was thick with tension, the scent of ozone lingering from the clash of energies. Astaroth's gaze bore into mine, a mix of rage and disbelief contorting his features. I have been scared, I knew what he was capable of… But I wasn't. I felt nothing but hatred for the creature who had destroyed our lives.
