We were lying down, cuddled up with each other. The silence was palpable, as well as the heavy atmosphere, but neither of us dared to say anything. Different thoughts were swirling in each of our minds. Juliano seemed to be choosing what to tell first while contemplating whether or not to broach the subject. As for me, my thoughts were focused on the past few days.

I pondered how much hurt was squeezing my heart, making me a hostage in a frightening situation. Remembering all the things we had gone through during our time together didn't hurt as much as the past few weeks.
