Chapter 43. Painful Farewell

When we arrived in front of the playroom on that floor, I noticed that Theo seemed unsure, but soon a tender smile appeared on his face when his eyes focused on a fixed point. I looked at the corner of that room, noticing Ana Luz there. She was wearing a blue dress with colorful drawings and worn-out sandals, but still, it perfectly matched her appearance. She seemed focused on the drawing she was coloring and didn't notice when we approached and sat in front of her.
"Hi!" Theo spoke softly not to startle her. Luz raised her gaze and smiled, recognizing him.
"Theo!" she spoke louder and dropped the colored pencils to hug my husband. I couldn't deny being moved by this scene, but soon the hug dissolved, and her attention fell on me.
"Who are you?" her curious voice made me smile, and she widened her eyes, her face turning red.
