Chapter 29. Accidents Happen

Ivan is giving out the last slew of orders so we can go and complete our agenda. I’m watching our little group, and I have to say it’s impressive. I’ve never gone against a group of vampires myself, so I can’t wait to see how crazy this is going to get.

Ivan gets a call and walks away to take it. I continue to look at our little group, sizing them up. I’m beyond anxious to get going, and I wish this were the big battle we’re working toward. This is just a little skirmish to get an idea of what each pack is working with.

I watch a hand tentatively go up into the air. I’m amused; it’s like I’m a teacher, and they are looking to ask a question. “Yes?”

“I just want to be clear…..we AREN’T to kill anyone?” I sigh and look at the group. I look at where Ivan was standing and see that he’s moved much further. I turn back to the group, and I know I have a gleam in my eye.

“The goal is to NOT kill anything this time around. We really want to intel.
