Akia POV

I hold my breath after speaking. The tension in the room is quickly rising, and I’m not really sure why that is. I thought we were having a discussion, and I think this is something that we need to talk about. It’s been bothering me since it happened, but I didn’t have the opportunity to touch on it before.

I honestly didn’t see an issue with the question. I let it roll around in my head before allowing it to come out of my mouth. There was nothing wrong with the words, and I made sure the delivery was good. I’m always conscious about what I say and how it comes out. I never want to make anyone feel a specific type of way.

The look on Ares’ face is one that’s hard to describe. It seems to be a mixture of a few different emotions. I can honestly say that the look on Ares’s face right now is slightly frightening and greatly disturbing.
