I lean back in my chair, staring at the paperwork on my desk. Akia is with her aunt and uncle, while I’m trying to get some work completed. I wanted to give them time together without any interference.

“So…” I look up to find Atlas standing in the doorway. His eyes are trying to pick me apart, but I’m not really worried about it. “You brought her aunt and uncle here.”

“I did.” I start to move pages around so I can finally get some work done.

“Why?” I stop moving and sit back with a sigh.
