We walked out of the pantry together, and since I still needed to get some files from my desk, he followed me all the way there and waited for me for a moment. I also organized a few files that I hadn’t yet put in the drawer.

After that, we left the TVDen building, and once again, I ran into Olie. Just like earlier, we looked at each other, and he gave me a teasing smile as he said, “Take care on your way home, Ms. Amaris…”

“Take care too, Olie…” I replied, even though I was annoyed with him. I didn’t want Zac to notice that Olie was teasing me about him, so even though it was against my will, I said ‘take care’ back.

The McDonald’s Zac mentioned was a five-minute walk away from the TVDen office, and since the buses I took back to my condo didn’t pass by there, we decided to walk. Besides, it would have been a waste of fare for such a short distance. Zac didn’t complain, so I thought it was fine with him that we were walking.
