Chapter 140. Do You Believe Me?

It seemed that raising my hands wasn’t effective because Aiden’s reaction didn’t change. I could still see the fear on his face, and even though it wasn’t very cold in my room, he still wrapped himself up as if doing so would protect him… would keep him safe.
I looked around the room, searching for things that might help reassure Aiden while he was with me here. I needed at least five minutes to explain everything to him… and with the fear he was feeling, it seemed that wasn’t going to happen.
What… what could I do to make Aiden stop being afraid of me?
