And there… Asher told the story about Kade—about what happened to him, which they initially thought was an accident, but now… it’s becoming a criminal case because they discovered that someone tampered with Kade’s car brakes, which is why it happened to him. He also shared the details that Doc Ken had mentioned regarding the ongoing investigation—who the suspected individuals were, especially since Kade apparently had many enemies.
And I was right… I found out things that Doc Ken didn’t know… things he hadn’t shared with me because he didn’t hear about them, and for sure, Tate or their father hadn’t shared these details with the police or anyone else, either.
Ever since their mother passed away, Kade had become distant and difficult to deal with. Especially with Tate. He started hating Tate, even though there was no real reason to. Just like how he treated me, Kade hated Tate as if it were his fault that their mother… and my parents… were gone.
