Chapter 255. 2 AM Phone Call

I had just finished washing my face, and I was ready to sleep when I suddenly jumped as my phone rang. It seemed to be on full volume, so it really startled me. The only sounds outside were the crickets, the rustling of leaves against each other and their branches, and the strong gusts of wind, so I was really caught off guard by my phone ringing.

I quickly looked at my phone, which was lying on my bed, and saw that the caller ID displayed an unknown number. I also checked the time—it was already 2 AM, so I frowned a bit upon realizing it was so late, yet someone was still calling.

Who could this be? Could it just be… a wrong number? Maybe they just dialed the wrong number?
