“How did you even manage to convince them?” Tate asked me with a laugh, shaking his head. He handed me a face mask—the white and blue ones we use here at the hospital—which I accepted without hesitation.
“At first, they really didn’t want to agree,” I explained. “They said I might just get in the way of your work and cause trouble for the patients, especially if I’m following you around. But when I took off my cap and mask, introduced myself, and even threw in a little pout for good measure, they gave in. And get this… they told me their kid is a huge fan of mine! So they asked if I could sign an autograph and, if possible, bring their kid tomorrow for a selfie.
