Because of how long Paige and Sarah’s stories were, by the time we finished eating, Asher and I hadn’t even started sharing ours. So, we decided to order a bottle of Soju each, just so we had something to sip on while we told our stories.

“So… who’s going to go first?” I asked Asher.

Sarah raised an eyebrow. “Wow… you’re really debating over who’s going first? Your stories better be juicy!” She pointed at both me and Asher as if warning us. Honestly, if Sarah hadn’t gone into tourism in college, I could totally see her as a TV talk show host, the kind that digs into celebrity gossip. She could also work for the National Bureau of Investigation with how good she is at interrogations.

“Go ahead, you first…” Asher said, giving in. He even made a grand gesture like he was presenting me to Paige and Sarah, moving his hands as if putting me in the spotlight. “Save the best for last,” he added with a shrug.
