“Alright, you’re free to come out now…” Sarah said as she opened the main door of the drawer where Lee and I had been trapped.
The moment the door swung open, Lee and I practically burst out, gasping as though we had just been freed from a prison. We both stretched immediately after standing—our shoulders, arms, necks, and even our heads. Every inch of my body ached from being cramped inside for so long. I felt like I could down a whole bottle of ibuprofen and still not relieve the soreness.
“Where is everyone?” Lee asked Sarah, raising an eyebrow in suspicion. Sarah mirrored her expression, her own brow shooting up as she grimaced.
“Hey, sis, don’t take it out on me! It was Zac and Asher who agreed to do this to you two,” she said defensively.
“I’m not mad, I’m just asking,” Lee shot back, her tone light and quick to defend herself. The exchange made both of us laugh.
“I already told her what happened,” I said, chuckling as I chimed
