Chapter 381. Searching Through My Things

Since I was absolutely certain the time turner had been on my desk, I panicked.
Asher, however, wasn’t so sure. He doubted me, suggesting that maybe I had misplaced it—maybe it wasn’t actually on my desk to begin with. But no, I was sure. I was convinced it had been sitting there, plain as day. Even so, Asher helped me search for it, and together, we combed through my belongings to see if I had absentmindedly moved it somewhere else.
We started with the drawer—the very one where Asher and I had been stuck earlier. Asher began taking out everything inside: clothes, bedsheets, and even my blankets. He laid them out piece by piece, his hands carefully running over every item.
“Maybe it got shoved in somewhere by accident?” he asked as he felt through the folds of the fabric.
“Why would I hide it?” I shot back, my brow furrowing in frustration. “I’m sure it was on my desk, but fine. Let’s check everything—maybe Mom tucked it away or… maybe I did
