Chapter 425. May I Borrow…

Since we didn’t want Auntie and Uncle to grow suspicious of Lee’s excuse earlier about needing to talk and to ask something to Tate and the officers, we composed ourselves after crying in each other’s arms for several minutes. Once we had calmed down, we stepped back into the station, just as the conversation between the officer, investigator, and Tate was wrapping up. We quietly joined in to listen.
The topic of discussion was Enrique and, naturally, the facial composite sketch that had just been completed based on Lee’s and my description.
Like Uncle, Tate mentioned that the face in the sketch seemed familiar to him. However, he also couldn’t pinpoint where or when he might have seen the man. “As for Kade… I’m not sure if he knows this guy. I’ll check with Kade’s friends. Maybe someone among them will recognize him,” Tate said, letting out a tired sigh.
