Alanna came home very tired, worn out, and sad. The day had been crazy. The house was full of people. Outside, she could hear the children laughing, but she didn’t want to see anyone. She just wanted to have a nice bath, her whisky, and lie down without hearing any noise. In fact, she just wanted to disappear from the world. Her stomach hurt, her head hurt, her chest hurt.
