Chapter 64
Yana dashed out of the house in a hurry, leaving John behind and unable to keep up with her quick pace. The tension between them was palpable, and John knew it was in their best interest not to let the argument escalate any further. As Yana disappeared into the distance, frustration and disbelief washed over him. He absentmindedly ran a hand through his hair, inadvertently catching a glimpse of the sofa. His eyes were drawn to something that caught his attention - Yana’s phone, sitting innocently on the cushion. Acting on impulse, John picked it up and instinctively unlocked it, only to be greeted by Yana’s wallpaper - a picture of her with the shady Ethan, taken in a café.
"He’s just your friend, huh?" John muttered bitterly, his heart sinking as he scrolled through Yana’s phone.
