Chapter 15

Mrs. Rogers showed Kendra where Elsie, Eve, and Eva were staying. The twins had already showered and changed into their pajamas while Elsie was taking a shower when Kendra opened their door.

Kendra was still grumpy about the scene that just took place, she was fully against staying here at the mansion in order not to cause any problem since she was always seen as a bad omen to the family since she was little, and it seemed she had stirred one between Dorothea and Henry.

“Hey, babies,” Kendra said, peeking through the small gap. The girls were sprawled out on a king-sized bed with a tall canopy decorated with white drapes. The bed was covered in a lilac bedsheet made of silk and a matching comforter. They appeared to be watching something on the tablet they shared, as they refused to turn around on hearing their mother’s voice.
