Chapter 16
Still speaking with Henry, her kids also joined in the conversation. They looked like a happy family. However, someone stood above watching them chat happily. She had a sinister glare as she watched them.
‘Looks like sis got competition,’ Althea thought to herself while she hummed her favorite song and quietly left unnoticed by anybody. Meanwhile, Kendra and her kids with Henry kept chatting downstairs.
“My mommy’s getting married too,” Eve said. Kendra let out a laugh and smiled.
“Is she now?” Henry asked, indulging the two girls.
“Uhuh. In Los Vegas!” Eva added. Henry chuckled and stood to his feet.
“I sure hope we’ll be invited?” He turned to Kendra.
“The girls will probably want Dorothea there. I guess I don’t really have a choice now, do I?” Kendra sighed.
Mrs. Rogers was making her way up the stairs with a small tray in her hand when she saw them all chatting.
“Mr. Sullivan, good evening,” she greeted.
