Penelope stared at the screen of her phone in confusion. Lance was having an affair? With who? Could it be...

No. Penelope rebuked the thought as soon as it crossed her mind. She grasped her phone in between her fingers and began writing a reply.

She watched as her message loaded, sent and got read, but even after five minutes, the sender refused to reply.

Was this some kind of prank? Penelope thought with furrowed brows. She waited a bit more before deciding that it was indeed a joke and without second thoughts, she blocked the number.

After that, she relaxed back in the chair she was sitting in and sighed out loud.

This wedding was indeed going to be a long one. She just hopes that no one tries to interrupt it, because resulting to violence, isn’t something she is too keen on.
