Chapter 3. Do You Remember?
SIMOUNE
The repeated calls from Lucy woke me up. OMG! I panicked because it was already 8 at night. I took a shower and put on makeup so we could go right away.
“Hold on a little bit! Are you in a rush or what?” Lucy asked.
“Of course I am. I want to know the truth,” I replied.
But what if he’s not at the bar now?
After a little while, we arrived at the bar. I didn’t want to involve Lucy and Bruce in all this, so I asked them if it was okay for me to enter the bar and look for Vince, and they assured me that it was okay. I thanked them for accompanying me and bid them goodbye.
I quickly entered the bar and looked around.
He was right there.
“Hey, Vince, can we talk?” I said, approaching him.
“Yeah, what’s up?” he replied cheerfully.
“I have a question… Are you the one I had sex with the other night when there was a big party here?”
“Wow, you remember now?” he asked playfully.
“So, it was really you? Why didn’t you tell me right away? Or maybe it’s okay for you to take advantage of the drunk girls?” I yelled at him.
“I did not intend to harm you in any way. You were the one who started it, so I merely offered to help you that evening,” he said calmly.
“Oh really? So, now you blame me, you idiot!” I said angrily.

VINCE
She started kissing me that night, so I didn’t understand why she was so angry with me. I was shocked and offended, but she suddenly left me, dragging a man to the dance floor.
I went to the bartender to get a drink and chatted with the girls. But I still watched Simoune from the corner of my eye. To my surprise, she was kissing the man while I was looking at her. I immediately left the bar and rode home since I wasn’t sure how I would feel.
Simoune and I don’t have anything, so maybe she used me. I’m irritated with the man who was with Simoune, and I’m annoyed that I’m annoyed!

Really? Flirting with the girls at the bar? I don’t know why I’m so irritated. I kissed the man in front of me while gazing at Vince. Why doesn’t he even look at me?
But when he suddenly left, I pushed the man I was kissing. Seriously? Is he jealous, or what? He must be upset with me for shouting at him earlier, right?
I hastily dialed Lucy and Bruce to ask them to come and drive me home because I wasn’t sure how I felt.
“Isn’t it a miracle that you’re alone tonight?” Lucy said sarcastically. “But seriously, what happened? Is it because of Vince?”
“I don’t know. I saw him speaking with the girls at the bar, and it pisses me off!” I replied.
“Oh, someone’s jealous here,” Bruce said.
“Just shut up. I’m not jealous, okay? I just have no idea why I feel this way about Vince,” I said, annoyed.
“Maybe you finally fell in love with the guy?” Lucy said, smiling at me.
“What? You can’t be serious. Anyway, I don’t wanna talk about it anymore. I want to go home and sleep, so please be quiet,” I responded.
We rapidly fell silent in the car. After a brief goodbye, I entered the house right away, shocking our nanny Lily.
“Welcome home, ma’am. You should have informed me when you returned so I could cook for you,” she said.
“It’s all right, just cook. I’m here; I’ll wait,” I replied.
“Okay, ma’am,” Nanny Lily said.
“Isn’t Daddy coming home yet?” I asked.
“No, ma’am; he won’t return till the following month,” she responded.
Nanny Lily completed cooking after a short while, so I ate and went to my bed. Luckily, Daddy wasn’t home yet.
I needed to rest because I had classes tomorrow, but I couldn’t stop thinking about Vince.
Why am I feeling this way? It’s frustrating. Vince is a dull person, but he’s intriguing, especially because he has a large pet, so I’m delighted with that. I laughed at what I was thinking.
While I was attempting to fall asleep, I thought of looking for his name on social media, but he didn’t seem to have an account.

BRUCE
When I got home, I couldn’t stop wondering why Simoune was so angry with Vince when she had only recently met him.
I’m Bruce Manuel, Simoune’s friend, and she wasn’t always like this; she used to be very engaged in class and friendly, which is how Lucy and I met her. I have admired Simoune since high school, and I really don’t want our friendship to sour, but I am quite disappointed with what is happening to her right now, especially with Vince. However, because she is my friend, I will stand by her no matter what.

It was early in the morning when I realized I had dozed off last night, so I went downstairs to have breakfast and drink coffee.
When I arrived at school later, I made the decision to apologize to Vince for what happened last night. I decided to drive myself to school because it was still early. When I got to school, it was not crowded, and Vince was already there.
“Sorry about what happened last night,” I said as I approached him.
“Why? It appears that you are content with what happened,” he said in a tone of tremendous seriousness.
“What do you mean?”
“Come on, you seem to have a habit of drinking and playing different men in the bar, am I right?” he replied mockingly.
“What? Listen, I just wanted to apologize, okay? Why are you acting this way?” I blurted and walked away from him. He pissed me off!
Soon enough, the rest of our classmates showed up, including Lucy and Bruce.
“Wow, you arrived at school so early. You didn’t even wait for Bruce and me,” Lucy said.
“I called you two, but it took a long time for you to respond, so I simply went by myself,” I responded.
