I’m irritated because Simoune’s stubbornness allowed her to go with that man. Even though she didn’t mention meeting Vince, I knew she was with him; it was obvious. Since Simoune wasn’t available, I asked Lucy to join me for dinner at a restaurant at 7 p.m. She immediately agreed and told me to wait for her text when she was ready.

“I’m ready; please pick me up at home,” Lucy texted.

I quickly got ready and headed to pick up Lucy. When I arrived, she got into the car and looked at me curiously.

“Why did you decide to go out tonight?” Lucy asked.

“Simoune isn’t here, so let’s just go out together. She seems to be focused on Vince,” I said.
