Chapter 10. City Lights

I quickly walked downstairs to the kitchen to make coffee and have breakfast after waking up early, my face reflecting the excitement and happiness I felt about Vince. When Vince texted to say he would pick me up at my house, I quickly texted Lucy and Bruce to let them know I couldn’t join them.

I went downstairs and waited for Vince after taking a shower and getting ready. When I stepped out, Vince came up to me holding a bouquet of flowers and chocolates, and I immediately asked him, “What are the chocolates and bouquet for?”

“Didn’t I tell you that I would start courting you today?” Vince replied with a smile.

He then handed me a helmet, and I couldn’t stop grinning in excitement. We left the house and went to school. When we arrived, Lucy immediately turned to face me.

“Hey, is that bouquet from Vince?” Lucy asked.

“Yes!” I happily replied.
