Chapter 29. Bounty Hunters
Peter's POV
I managed to get my head out of my ass and focus on the race. Eventually, I emerged victorious for the first round. I kept looking around and realised that there was no sign whatsoever of Jace in this place. Perhaps, it was just a figment of my imagination.
I decided to go wait out for my final race in the car as I needed to keep a clear mind. I got to the car in the garage and shut the door after me. Leaning the seat backwards, I put on the headset with me as all I desired right now was some moments to clear everything out.
Jace was really messing with my mind and I could not figure out the best way to push him out of my mind. It would seem that the more I tried hard to forget him, the harder it was for me to focus.
I was playing my songs for some time when my phone started ringing. It was Damon calling me and I quickly sat up to answer.
“Yo.” I hailed him.
“We saw you win.” He said.
