Chapter 195. A Role Model

Maddie left the office with her shoulders feeling lighter. But she knew she still had a lot to process that was going on in her life.

The one at the top of the list right now was Jacob betraying her. She kind of understood why he did it, he just wanted her all to himself.

She knew that that was just his way of saying that he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but it was a really sh*tty way of saying it.

She really hated what he had done, it made her trust for him very shaky. He had gaslit her and now she was judging her own thoughts, whether they were real or if she was still being gaslit in a way.

Leaving the campus, she got into the car and drove off. She rolled the windows down and allowed the wind to dance its way into the car.

It felt good on her skin and she was going a bit faster than usual. This was the fastest she had ever gone but in reality, compared to other drivers, she was not really going fast.
