Chapter 266. Veto

Nate slowed down the car and his heart thumped in his chest as he listened, tuning out every other sound and only listening to the elder on the radio. 

“As everyone knows about the case that involves Luna Maddie Bennett, I fear that I have the verdict that decides her fate. But there is something that I need to inform the pack of first. Maddie is pregnant.”

A few seconds of silence passed before the man continued. “And this affected our decision greatly. We had hours to chew on this mentally and we have decided that Luna Maddie Bennett will be publicly executed by nightfall, in the town square. It was supposed to be gruesome but in consideration of the baby she is carrying, she will be given an injection that will slowly take away her life.”
