Chapter 271. Understanding

Nate stood up and watched everyone cheer for him. This was not something that he was not used to; it was not the first time he had people cheer for him but this time felt a bit different considering the situation that surrounded them. 

He raised his hand mid-way and they all stopped, eventually taking their seats and keeping their eyes on him. 

“Thank you all for being here today and I am very grateful to be able to stand in the presence of you all too. I’m here so we have a conversation about the series of events that happened recently. I understand that things got a little…let’s say extreme.” 

“I guess you could say that,” Someone from the side where the elders were said lowly but he did not see who it was. 

Did he care who it was? Maybe. But he wanted to at least know. 

“I apologize…” He looked at Elder Roy, “...to Elder Roy for what I did to him. That was disrespectful. I should not have hit you whether you were part of the council
