Cassian’s POV

“Bring the girl,” Shiraya said to Lucian who nodded and carried Rhea closer.

He had a look on his face that I had never noticed before. It was a blank stare mixed with something much more darker and ominous. His stare was like a suspeciously silent sea with quiet but deadly waves. He looked nothing like he usually does. Lucian is usually quiet. He is usually to himself and introverted but this time it seems like there’s something else there. He looks almost robotic. His eyes looks over me to Shiraya , she urges him to come to her with Rhea like a skilled vet calls on to her dog. Strangely Lucian answered.

That is not my brother! What did you do to my brother!

I almost shout this but it felt like I could hardly move, like my tongue was somehow glued to the roof of my mouth.

I took deep breathes, trying to gain back my strength because I know I’ll need it. I would have find a way to save Rhea, to get her out of here to safely. She is
