Cassian’s POV

“Are you okay?” Rhea asked. Her face scrunched up in slight pain as she tried to sit up straight. I moved closer to her.

“Hey, easy there,” I said as I helped her sit up. She looked less pale than she had, her emerald green eyes stared into mine, I did not realize that my hand was still on her waist until she moved away from me slightly.

“I…I am sorry,” she said as she looked down at her fingers, her eyes darted from side to side, her eyes avoided my gaze. I was a bit confused about what she was apologizing for.

“Sorry? About what?” I asked. Rhea’s eyes still lingered on her fingers.

“I’m sorry for coming into your lives and disrupting it,” she said.

“I know how much Lyra loves you and I know how much you love her, I promise I’ll leave when all this is over then you can both go back to your lives,” she smiled weakly. I smiled back. Four more days and Rhea will all better.
