Chapter 34. Leo’s Gentle Touch

"You'll trust me when I'm in front of you, but you'll say something different when facing them," Alana said, making Leo retract his hand and stare at her with his rarely displayed intense gaze.

"Do we need to go back to our conversation the other day about whether I can trust you?" Leo said, making Alana fall silent.

"Yes, but that conversation feels like nonsense to me when you agree with everything those women say," Alana replied, causing Leo to take a deep breath.

"It doesn't matter what reaction I show to Aunt Miranda or Selena. What matters most is what's in my heart, isn't it? Do you still need a clear understanding of whom my heart is starting to trust?" Leo said again, making Alana fall silent once more.
