Chapter 39. The Stare Is Hostile to Alana

Alana then glanced at Leo's desk, which was strewn with scattered papers and an open laptop.

"Am I interrupting?" Alana asked, causing Leo to shake his head.

"Of course not, it's lunchtime, so it's time for me to take a break," Leo replied, making Alana smile. After that, Alana walked towards the back of Leo, intending to take him to one of the tables in the middle of the room, but her movement halted when she saw Selena still standing nearby.

"Oh, I didn't realize Selena was here. Would you like to join us for lunch too?" Alana asked with her friendly smile. However, before Selena could respond to her offer, Alana immediately spoke again.

"But unfortunately, I only brought lunch for two people, what should we do about this?" Alana regretted with a tone and expression as remorseful as possible. This might have caused Selena to only purse her lips, indicating that she seemed annoyed with Alana.

"It's okay, I can eat in the office cafeteria," Selena repli
