Chapter 30. Selena's Crying
Bastian contemplated deeply, trying to understand and accept the bad luck that was happening to him. Now and then, he glanced at the rearview mirror to see Cedric, who focused on the iPad in his hand. Feeling himself watched, Cedric returned Bastian's gaze flatly.
"What's wrong?"
Bastian immediately refocused on the road before him, "A-a, nothing, sir."
He tried to hold back the tension that peaked inside; Bastian was afraid of misspeaking, which would cause other new problems. However, Cedric noticed his assistant's strange behavior.
"You know, Bastian. Everything must be according to plan and warning."
