Chapter 36. Failed Plans

"What now?" Cedric sounded very unhappy with this interruption to his day off. "Why are you bothering me, Bastian?"

Selena could slightly hear the voice on the other end of the line as if it was explaining. Selena noticed Cedric's face, which, instead of calming down, looked even more annoyed.

"Bastian, I don't care at all. You are my assistant, and you can reorganize all my schedules. Today, I don't want to be disturbed; I want to spend time with Selena."

Hearing that, Selena felt like she was hit by something. The meaning of Cedric's words sounded like a sense of ambiguity that made Selena feel bad. But Bastian did not give up. Selena heard Cedric's assistant explain something very long, making Cedric's face slowly relax.
