Chapter 43. Announcements

"Meet my girlfriend, Selena Lee."

The announcement caused the entire room to erupt in applause. All eyes were on Selena at one of the tables as Cedric pointed his finger at her.

Selena looked confused. "Has Cedric had too much to drink? What does he mean by that?" she said to herself.

"Come here, dear!"

Selena blinked; she was confused. But Cedric slowly moved his head, signalling Selena to stand up and approach him.

Selena moved; she stepped hesitantly as she approached Cedric. Selena felt this was wrong; Cedric shouldn't be like this.

When Selena arrived, Cedric held out his hand. Selena responded with a confused expression. Only a second after Selena's fingers touched the tip of Cedric's hand, the man wrapped his arms around Selena's waist and pulled her body closer.

Selena's eyes opened slightly in surprise at the man's spontaneous action. Cedric smiled with mischievous eyes. It made Selena even more speechless.
