Chapter 37. Official Matters

Niyol’s POV

After breakfast, I left my mate with my sister and went back to my chamber. I had so many files to take care of this morning, but I was waiting for Chester. I knew that once I got to that office, I would forget about the issue.

So I need to trash it out before I leave for the office. I know that Chester would be here anytime soon.

There was a knock on the door before it was opened. It must be Chester. I looked up to see it was him.

“Have you finished your investigation?” I asked, sounding worried.

“Yes, Alpha. The people that visited her were your aunts. They are the Queen Mother’s closest friends. They were also the ones who told your mother all those things about her. I already sent a warning to them on your behalf, but I’m afraid the news has gone far,” Chester reported.

I closed my eyes, holding my fist tightly to control my anger. I wonder why these people would always indulge themselves in my marital issues.
