Chapter 48. The Plot

Scarlett’s POV

It’s been a frustrating month of pretending to be okay with that damn girl. I had to postpone my plans, so I could get everyone’s eyes away from me.

But I do make occasional visits to the palace. Whenever I came across her, I showed her maximum respect, but I never tried to befriend her. I always had this guilty expression all over my face any time I meet with her or Laci.

It wasn’t until last week that she started coming out and I kept track of her every move. The place she frequented and everything I could use to lure her out of the palace.

Gradually, their attention was diverted from me and I was relieved. I think I better make preparations before Niyol comes back in a week’s time.

I had to find a good opportunity to kidnap her and also the suspicion should be directed to someone else. Although I would still go ahead with the plan even if there is no one to pin it on. At least, I won’t be the one being suspected.

I kept an
