Chapter 29
I couldn't stop thinking about Lena; even if she was only a distance away, it was getting worse. My little obsession was getting worse. Maybe the best thing to do was to let her go; she was more dangerous than I ever thought she could be, but I knew well that I wouldn't be able to do that. I was never willing to let her go, and the thought of her with anyone who wasn't me sent me on the edge.
I had been so lost in thoughts that I didn't notice Diego approaching. That was unlike me. I remembered the last time I let the little things slip. It ended in the deaths of many of my pack members. I was the Alpha and should be responsible for them, i couldn't risk getting distracted again.
Diego walked into my office, baring his neck in respect before taking a seat.
"You seemed a bit lost in thoughts; the little she wolf seemed to be affecting you," he said with a wryly smile.
