I woke up to discover I was alone again.
This time, it didn't make me feel sad; it was better this way to be away from him, and then maybe I could finally end whatever twisted one-sided love I felt for him.
There was a knock on the door, and right before I could respond, the door was pushed open, and Diego walked in. He shut the door behind him.
"I didn't say you could come in," I murmured.
"I was only knocking because you told me so; I am here on orders."
I snorted, falling back on my bed. "As you can see, I am in no condition to listen to whatever you have to say."
"I know you are mad at him."
My eyes widened. "So he sent you here to plead with me to see reasons why it should be normal to be cheated on?."
"No. It is not normal, but I underestimated you, Lena. And little by little, Damien is changing, and it's all because of you. I think he really cares about you."
