Chapter 38

(Part One)

(Lena's POV)

I was in the woods; the moon was the only source of light. The woods had never once seemed so scary to me like they did now, the silence seemed all errie.

And then I heard the slightest sound, someone was there, I knew it and my instincts screamed at me -'run' , I turned around to run, but my white dress got stocked. I drew the material from the branches of a fallen tree; Out of panic, I pulled harder, the white dress tore. I recognized the dress I was in; it was the same dress I wore on my wedding day, and I had just ruined it. I had the noise again, this time closer, and I ran faster with all I had.

"Damien!" I cried out, but there was no answer, and then I slammed into a figure and almost lost my balance. It was Damien. I breathed out in relief. It was him. I knew he would always be here to protect me. "I was so scared, Damien; something was chasing me; it's right there, in the woods, and..."

My voice trailed off
