Avita’s peculiar fragrance managed to calm the man down, and Miguel soon promised her the world. 

Something she scoffed at inwardly while still trying to appear as timid as possible. He finally found peace of mind when he saw her being hesitant and coy with him again. 

Naomi came to pick her up in the morning, and after a long drive and conversation, she was hungry again. So, for the first time in weeks, Avita and Miguel shared a meal while gazing at each other fondly, as if they were an old married couple. 

Avita snuggled into Miguel’s arms after dinner, enjoying the warmth that the man provides. He was a scumbag, yet he was still incredibly useful to her. And because he has the advantage of being a man she likes; she chose to only accept him for the time being till the task was completed. 

“Is everything going well?” he inquired, patting her back. 

Without raising her head, she replied softly, “umm, so far everything is great.
